Booking

When you have made a choice from our extensive accommodation database, then you can fill in a contact/booking form on the same page, below the accommodation. You fill in your name and email address. The accommodation code is already filled in.

In the textbox you put the period in which you would like to rent the accommodation and for how many persons. You can also put questions here. We will contact the owner and answer you within 24 hours.

If you would actually want to book the accommodation, you contact us. We 'll send you a bookingconfirmation-invoice. We ask for a deposit. Your booking is final when we received your 40% deposit.

Payment

You will have five working days to transfer the 40% initial payment to us. The remaining 60% has to be paid 6 weeks before the actual arrival. In case you book 6 weeks before arrival we request you to pay the total amount at ones within 5 workings days. In case you book 2 weeks before arrival we request you to make a transfer of the total amount directly. We insist to receive a proof of your payment.

Deposit at arrival

It is possible that you need to pay a deposit at arrival. This will be returned to you when there is no damage at the property. The amount of the deposit depends on the accommodation. We have no influence at all on the height or pay back manner of the deposit.

Complaints

If you have complaints during your stay, we ask you to contact the owner first. If you cannot come to an agreement, you can contact us so that we can confer with you and the owner and come to a solution. Any complaints that are filed after your holiday, will not be treated by the owner or us. If your complaint cannot be solved during your stay, you are obligated to put it on writing for the owner and us. It is not possible for us to solve a complaint to satisfaction afterwards. Obviously, we and the owner try our very best to make your stay a dream holiday.

Arrival / departure

The exact arrival and departure time at your accommodation depends on the owner. Usually the arrival is between 14h00 and 15h00 and the departure between 10h00 and 11h00. We will give you the exact arrival and departure time once you inform us about your flight times.

Key location

Usually the owner himself will welcome you at the accommodation and quickly show you around. If this is not the case, we will inform you about it.

Gas, water and electricity

In the price, gas, water and electricity is included, if not noted otherwise. This can occur in the winter months. The accommodations have a warm water supply, sometimes on solar energy, but often on gas.  The water pressure can sometimes be less than you are used too.

Furnishing / inventory

Sonho Travel primarily rents accommodation from private persons. The owner, who in some cases lives near the accommodation, has furnished the accommodation according to his own taste. Some accommodations are furnished in a Portuguese style which means simple but complete. We can never be responsible if the owner has changed the furniture since the photograph. We try to keep the photos on the website as up to date as possible.

Cleaning / changing towels and linen

The cleaning frequency and the change of towels and linen is different per accommodation. Some accommodations are excluded cleaning charge. You have to pay this seperate on the invoice. We have no influence on this matter and therefore cannot be held responsible.

Barbecue

There is a barbecue available at many accommodations. Because of the frequent use, we recommend the use of aluminum foil. We kindly ask you to clean the barbecue when you are done.


Cot or high chair

It is possible to rent a cot and/or a high chair with the reservation of the accommodation. We can reserve it at the owner. However, the payment of these attributes has to be done with the owner on arrival.

Swimming pools

Because of the climate, many of the swimming pools at the private holiday houses are not heated. During the winter months it is possible that the pools are not filled and therefore cannot be used. If the swimming pools can be used during the winter, there will usually be an extra fee for the heating of the pool.

Airconditioning / heating

The control of the air-conditioning/heating is often in the hands of the owner of the accommodation. It is possible that the equipment will not be turned on the whole day, because of the energy use. It is also possible that an extra fee is asked for the use of air-conditioning or heater.

Responsibility for the accommodation

The renter is responsible for all the loss and/or damage to the resident building and inventory.

The owner can ask for a guarantee deposit on your arrival.
